Absence Policy

When children are away from school because of illness, parents should send a letter to the Class Teacher giving the reasons for absence. Parents must inform the Principal in all cases of infectious diseases and children must not return to school until passed by their doctor as free from infection.

Apart from illness children should not be absent from school, for any reason without previous explanation.

Excuses for Absence are to be written in the Student’s Correspondence Book or Student Planner.

Leave of Absence

Parents can apply for a student’s temporary leave of absence from the School for an entire term (up to one academic year). This requires a written application and the payment of half of all tuition fees during the registration period.
